November 12 ~ "He Leadeth Me" by Tom Milam
II Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
On October 14, 1966, I awoke the first time, a new creature -- I was born again that night before at almost midnight. My life changed immediately and He has been changing it ever since. Thank God that I have been saved and made new; I'm conformed to the image of His Son. Everything is different now. I stand amazed at the change God has made in me. I no longer care for the things of the world as I once did, more-so now than ever. I have learned to let God use me through my circumstances, rather than be brought down by them. I'm learning to trust His power to rise above the circumstances that the world has handed out to me. I am not my own I gave all of my rights to Jesus; He will do with me as He pleases.
May God help us to appreciate what He has done in our lives; in making us a new creature acceptable in His sight. That which is in me is working out through me; by the grace of God. I am what I am (Phillipians 2:12, 13). God has set me apart to do His will and the Holy Spirit is changing me day by day, as I abandon more of myself to His bidding. I must be emptied of myself before I can ever be filled. I pray for a refreshing of my will toward Christ.
