"Living The Divine Life" ~ Tom Milam

November 14 ~ "He Leadeth Me"
Daily Devotional ~ Dr. Tom Milam

Genesis 24:27  And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren.

   As a child of God, the Holy Spirit indwells us, and we learn obedience through His instruction.  One of the marks of a sanctified believer, is that we will seek and hunt out ways to obey.  Because we know that if we do, we will become one with Him and won't have to be guided so much in things that should come natural to a Christian.  We must continually be filled with the Holy Spirit in our minds or we will never learn fully Gods will.

   We should be able to have the confidence in saying, I've been led of God, for this or that and give Him praise for what He has done in us.  We mu8st ask ourselves, do I see God in every detail?  If we do not, then we are not filled with the Holy Spirit in knowing the Lordship and headship of Christ.  God does not deal inasmuch a program as we would like to think; but He deals in most things that seem to be totally off the wall and foolish, primarily in the simplicity of things.

   We must learn to be devoted to God and it doesn't come through our selfish convictions.  We must learn to live the divine life, which is not natural to the flesh but will fill our mind with the right things of God; enabling us to overpower the natural with the supernatural.

"God Expects"
God doesn't expect us to be a
fanatic, but faithful;
Not ludicrous, but loyal;
Not heady, but humble.
