November 9 ~ "He Leadeth Me" ~ Daily Devotional by Tom Milam
God is always bringing new things into our lives, that we might reach out to others with the gospel. The Lord must work in us, that He might be seen through us; Are you able to reflect Him? It is not my aim, necessarily, to make people think just like I do, but that they may take on the personality of Jesus, through His redeeming power and grace. We, as believers are not to teach how to live a new life to please human nature, but we are to preach Jesus and Him crucified, for the remission of sin.
Then His Spirit through us to live and teach the new life through all that He has done and nothing that we have done. Our job is to preach and teach Jesus and He will take care of the redeeming of souls, and we will never seer a convert without true conviction.
The Gospel will break into pieces that heart that is seeking for satisfaction -- if the soul is thirsty and hungry. The appeal is to be filled and if we can interject the Gospel and trust the power of the Spirit to draw and convict, Jesus will be lifted up and an immediate choice will be made, whether good or bad.
"Something From Nothing"
As men, we copy what has been made,
But our Heavenly Father
is the One that creates.
