Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
I must deny myself, give up my rights to myself, and follow Jesus, before I can find personal holiness. To walk in a revival spirit as a child of God, I must pour "myself" out on His altar, abandon myself, so that there is nothing left of “me”, a servant in total identification with the Master. I must be identified with Jesus where there is no other identification with anything else. I desire to know the “go” of total abandonment to Jesus Christ.
When Jesus looks at us with love, it is not with the love we see with others here, earthly; but He looks with divine love and it will break our hearts forever. His look will change every area of our lives, from our very inner being, to these around us; and will have an effect on the circumstances that surround us – we must remember that He is a life-changing God. May I never be stubborn against my Lords will for my life. Christ wants us in complete communion with Him, nothing as a barrier between us.
I am saved because I believed on what Christ did for me, in His death, burial and resurrections, and now I must follow Him.
“He is Mine”
He is mine, and I am His:
And I am His forever.
Abandon Christ for another?
Oh! No. No, never!
