"Attitude Training" ~ Matthew 5:23

September 26th ~ He Leadeth Me, A daily devotional by Tom Milam

When we seek for Gods will to be done in us, He will begin to educate us in how to do it.  We will constantly be going through things. Such as forgiving one another.  Our feelings and emotions will be easily touched; we must remember that Satan doesn't like reconciliation. He would rather there be a blockage between brethren that will cause hostility and hurt.  But we must follow the Word of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in these sensitive matters.

The true born again believer should have no trouble with being reconciled to his brother in hurtful matters ~ God is simply making us Christians.  The person that has ought against me, will doubtless come to me, for the simple reason, he is hurt and angry; but the Holy Spirit will bear witness that there is something wrong between us.  God will then give me the ability to put pride aside and go to my brother and be reconciled, or I'll never have peace and liberty at the altar.  The self-rights I claim will stand in the way of reconciliation, I therefore must obey the bidding of the Holy Spirit; and He says, keep a right attitude.

"Caught"
When I pray to Him, of whom
I've been bought,
And find in my heart vengence or ought;
I must go  my way and
forgiveness be wrought,
Before contented peace can
ever be sought.
